Associate Director for Employer Development

• Leads the design and implementation of an employer development plan to increase internship and employment opportunities for students and alumni. • Identifies and recruits representatives for employer events. • Provides leadership for developing, implementing and refining employer programs and events such as job fairs, etiquette dinners, information sessions, on-campus recruiting, classroom presentations, industry panels, site visits and networking events that will expose students to the wide range of post-graduate employment options. • Strengthens the recruitment pipeline to employers through innovative techniques; market recruiting and employment services to employers, students and alumni, including the development of appropriate marketing materials. • Leads the Employer Advisory Board which consists of representatives from external companies/organizations spanning a wide variety of industries. • Develops and maintains effective contact with business, industry, and government employers in order to support and expand opportunities for internships and full time employment for UNCW students and alumni.

Director of the Student Professional Development Center

The Director of the SPDC provides visionary and strategic leadership while overseeing the development and delivery of programs and resources. The Director drives the enhancement of the highly successful and nationally ranked career services at Elon. This position is SPDC’s chief ambassador and collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including academic affairs, student affairs, admissions, alumni relations, corporate relations, faculty, alumni, trustees, parents, and employers to foster effective relationships and partnerships. The Director maintains a student-centered, forward-thinking operation, oversees assessment functions and the articulation of outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, and serves as a spokesperson for Elon on career-related issues of students. Leading a talented team of 18 full-time career professionals in a collaborative style, the focus of this position is to ensure continued delivery of high-quality career services in support of the university’s mission.
