Assistant Director, Career & Professional Development
This individual will serve as a member of the Career and Professional Development STEM College Career Network team and report to the Associate Director of that team. Members of this Career Network team work together to serve undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering and the College of Science. Additionally, team members work with employers to understand the breadth and depth of experiential and post-graduation opportunities available for students interested in pursuing careers within the scope of the network. The Assistant Director’s primary liaison role will be with the Virginia Tech Graduate School.

The Career Coach will contribute to outreach efforts with faculty to integrate Career Education into the curriculum to impact all UNC Asheville students. The employee will provide career coaching to meet students’ and alumni career development needs. The Career Coach will develop and teach career development workshops and classroom modules in collaboration with academic and student services to help students and alumni achieve their career goals.

Associate Director for Career Education
The Associate Director for Career Education will oversee outreach efforts to faculty to maintain and develop new partnerships that integrate Career Education into the curriculum to impact all UNC Asheville students. The employee will maintain and develop partnerships within academic affairs to implement and track students’ progress with career exploration plan. The position is responsible for coordinating career coaching services and supervising the career coaching team, including one full-time career coach and up to three (or more) interns to produce high quality career development outcomes.
